About Us

PERI Cues: PERI cues are billiard cues independently researched, developed, and produced by the Chinese brand PERI, a product under Laili (Tianjin) Sports Equipment Co., Ltd.

Brand Background: In the 1990s, Laili Company introduced mature foreign billiard brands and products to China, providing enthusiasts—who predominantly used house cues at the time—with professional global equipment. Subsequently, with the rise of Chinese-style billiards and the continuous development of China's billiard industry, more foreign products entered the market, which were diverse but inconsistent in quality. Aiming to allow Chinese billiard enthusiasts to enjoy advanced equipment with higher cost-effectiveness, Laili Company drew on collective strengths to create its own billiard brand, PERI. With the goal of promoting Chinese-style billiard culture, the brand began independent research and development and established its own factory (Weilu Cue Factory) to produce Chinese-style billiard cues .

Production Philosophy: Fundamentally, PERI cues adhere to the principle of showcasing the 'true nature of original wood,' employing extremely stringent material selection . The experience from long-term cooperation with overseas brands has provided the PERI team with extensive resources in raw material selection. After a two-year investigation, the company finalized suppliers for raw cue wood and rare timber, sourcing globally to ensure a 'rock-solid' foundation for PERI cue quality .
After imported raw wood arrives, technicians in the specialized wood workshop of the Weilu Cue Factory manually select, classify, and grade the materials. Following a strict production cycle, the wood undergoes dehydration in a constant temperature and humidity room. This scientific natural dehydration method—contrasting with the chemical treatment used by many other manufacturers—further ensures the stability of the finished cue and preserves the inherent elasticity, toughness, and uniform density of each piece of wood .

Design Philosophy: As a Chinese brand, PERI is committed to promoting the development of Chinese-style billiard culture. Each cue's design incorporates Chinese cultural elements, forming a unique brand identity . The cues are divided into series including Wuji (Limitless), Tai Chi (Supreme Ultimate), Xuanmu (Mysterious Wood), Jingyuan II (Tranquility and Distance), and Jisu (Speed) . The naming itself distinctly reflects the inherent national culture. Like Wuji series and Tai Chi series, derived from Taoist philosophy, represent two superior mental states in competition. The Xuanmu series embodies the centuries-old Chinese pursuit of returning to simplicity and adhering to original aspirations, while the Jingyuan series reflects the ancient ideal of achieving greatness through serene and diligent self-cultivation . The more affordable Jisu(Speed) series also often incorporates design elements or color schemes reminiscent of ancient Chinese weapons . Over time, as the PERI expanded its full range of products, it gradually introduced internationalized multi-splice butt products . The production process for this type of product is technically more demanding, representing core technology that can rival established world-renowned brands . Despite the advanced technology involved, their accessible pricing truly reflects the long-standing ambition of Laili Company: to enable billiards enthusiasts to enjoy advanced equipment with higher cost-effectiveness .

Brand Competitiveness: PERI cues are known for stringent material selection, integrated R&D and production ensuring quality, and a distinctive style . Furthermore, top Chinese players like Dai Yong and Zheng Xiaohuai are endorsed players who have also participated in the R&D and design of PERI cues. They provide feedback and suggestions for improvements or new designs based on their professional experience and testing, ensuring PERI cues continuously evolve and refine through a dynamic process of creativity and manufacturing capability .

Market Presence: PERI's initial positioning was as a world brand, made in China. Now, with growing recognition from international players and visits by international equipment distributors to the Weilu Cue Factory, PERI cue exports significantly surpass domestic sales, solidifying our status as a globally recognized brand .
